Retrieving Seminar — Terrace, BC

A Fun, Hands-On Way to Build Real Retrieving Skills

This seminar is all about having fun with your dog while teaching them how to retrieve the right way. Whether you hunt with your dog, want to get into it, or you're just tired of a chaotic game of fetch in the backyard, this seminar will give you the tools to turn retrieving into something structured, purposeful, and genuinely enjoyable for both of you.

If you have a retriever, this is a fantastic outlet for what your dog was bred to do. Structured retrieving work taps into their natural instincts and gives them a job, which means a calmer, more fulfilled dog at home. And if your dog isn't a "traditional" retriever breed, don't worry; these skills and games are a blast for pretty much any dog who loves to chase and carry things.

About Your Instructor

Hi, I'm Jamie! I live in Victoria, BC, and train in field work every week with The Island Pacific Labrador Retriever Club. I've been getting hands-on practice with them for the last two years. I'm currently training my two Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers toward their WC (Working Certificate) field trial test, with hopes of running that test next summer.

Terrace isn't where I'm originally from, but it's very much home to me, and I look forward to visiting every year. I'm excited to have a reason to come back and bring some field training up to our retriever friends in Northern BC!

I love sharing what I've learned along the way, and this seminar is a chance to pass some of that knowledge on in a low-pressure, fun environment. No matter where you and your dog are starting from.
